Job Description:-
1. Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software.
2. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
3. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
4. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.
Candidate Profile:-
1. Candidates should have a strong awareness of software development skills, unix/Linux OS (user level),understanding/awareness of object oriented programming concepts, should have strong debugging skills and should be able to identify issues in complex environment and solve them with some guidance.
2. Awareness of software development practices followed in the industry.
3. Awareness of open source tools and EDA tools.
4. Preferable understanding of PERL programming languages.
5. Good communication skills (verbal/written), He/she should be a teamplayer. He/she should be able to work closely with local functional team members.
6. Should be confident, proactive and be able to work with guidance.
