Job Description 



Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Assist the internal search engine supervising analyst in:
  • Measuring the quality of search results using precision, recall, mean reciprocal rank and other measures
  • Monitoring search engine performance e.g. uptime, query response time, metrics, etcetera
  • Monitoring query completion list for misspellings
  • Creating, monitoring and maintenance of Best Bets, Query Rules, Results Types, Result Blocks and Ranking Models for SharePoint 2013 search
  • Applying known processes and analysis to existing content on direction from others
  • Understanding the user intent through observation, inference, data analysis, data cleansing and text analysis
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Qualifications
Bachelors degreeor Post graduation in Library Information Science, Digital Science or Information Analysis and Retrieval
Experience
0 – 2 years of experience
Skills
  • Advanced education in Library and Information Science
  • Familiarity with Information Retrieval concepts and techniques
  • Course work in Human Interaction in Information Retrieval, Advanced Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval, Data Manipulation, Information Retrieval systems evaluation and measurement
  • Experience in solving information retrieval problems in any setting
  • Particularly, enterprise search solutions in global professional services or related industries
  • SharePoint 2013 experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and successfully execute tasks and initiatives in support of complex projects across borders
