Sr. Software Development Engineer
Location: Bangalore
About the Role:
In this exciting role, you will be part of McAfee Advanced Threat Defense (MATD) group. This group works on developing cutting edge protection against the most advanced and complex threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- The candidate would be an individual contributor and should have excellent design & programming experience.
- Candidate should work closely with other Developers/QA in the team to drive quality in the project.
- This individual apart from being a quick learner will also be very methodical and detail oriented.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- 3 - 6 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ development in a Linux environment, Networking concepts, with good experience in multithreading, high performance software development and IPC concepts.
- Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of load balancing concepts.
- Experience with advanced debugging and scripting in Linux environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS concepts.
- Familiar with SCRUM or similar agile development/implementation methodologies, and cross-functional engineering practices/excellence.
- Extensive experience in designing and building complex product architecture for large systems.
- Experience of working in a modern development team and with solid experience of basic tools and practices such as source control, bug tracking, task tracking, unit testing, build and delivery.
- Able to conceive new ideas and drive design and implementation of new products.
- Able to research new areas, products, technology, and implement improvement in existing products.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be a very good team player.
Education : Bachelors/ Master's in Computer Science or related technical field.
