| Job Requirements | •Develop and maintain complex ABAP routines related to extractors,BW variables,BW transformations and BPC BADI's. • Architect BW/HANA data models, specifically SD/CRM as the primary focus. • Understand SAP SD functional area and reporting needs and translate them into solutions that fit the Broadcom business needs. • Develop and drive implementation of standards and guidelines • Perform analysis, design data models, write technical specifications, configure and program in the SAP/BI environment, including testing and implementation. Build and enhance BI objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, ETL, Transformations, and Update Rules, ODS, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, User Exits. • Design data structures to optimize data load times and end-user data access response times. • Design processes to minimize data quality risks and proactively identify potential data issues. • Monitor, communicate, and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and technical software issues. • Have a good understanding of SDLC. • Provide both project and production support • Effectively communicate status to IT and Business teams. • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams and drive work independently. Expert knowledge in SAP business intelligence content and build complex data models based on SAP BW 7.3 and Enterprise HANA • Deep hands-on experience with SAP BW including demonstrated ability in defining complex multi-dimensional models such as Info Cubes, as well as DSOs, MultiProviders, Master Data with hierarchies, navigation and time-dependent attributes, transformations and process chain set up. • Prior experience with BW/HANA or Enterprise HANA modeling and scripting highly desired. • Experience with ABAP and transforming data in BW – Must Have • Ability to work on end-to-end BW solution design and build – Must Have • In depth knowledge of Bex Query designer – Must Have • Creating and maintaining SAP BW ETL mechanisms: DTPs, Update/Transfer Rules, Startup Routines, user exits, etc. to support data extraction, transformation, and loading.Creating and maintaining Process Chains to automate data loads – Must Have • Importing and converting data from SAP ECC, legacy or other external systems into SAP BW utilizing ETL techniques (native and/or Data Services) – Must Have • High-Level understanding of Security & Controls for SAP BI is a plus. • BOBJ knowledge and BW/BOBJ integration is a plus. • Knowledge of SAP BOBJ Data Services is a big plus. • Prior experience with other functional areas like FICO/BPC and SCM/APO is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. • Minimum 10 years of technical experience with SAP BW/BI including experience with latest version 7.3 and heavy ABAP experience is a must. Experience with HANA highly desired. • Experience with Business Objects and its integration to SAP BW. • Deep knowledge of configuration of BW data objects specifically for SD/CRM, including InfoObjects, InfoSources, Transformations, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers, and multi providers. BW/HANA migration or experience is a big plus. • Deep knowledge of BI extractors and complex ABAP enhancements from the ECC system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version ECC 6.0 environment. • ABAP development experience is a must have with emphasis on complex ABAP coding in SAP BW for variables, extractors and BPC BADI’s. • Must have strong analytical and problem solving abilities. • Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Must have experience working on fast pace project teams. • Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. • Effectively communicate with multiple audiences – IT peers, Mgmt & Business stakeholders. |
